2026 Kawasaki Versys 650 launched in India at Rs 8.63 lakh: Here's what's new
Kawasaki India has launched the new 2026 Kawasaki Versys 650 motorcycle in the Indian market, priced from Rs 8.63 lakh (ex-showroom). For the 2026 model year, the Versys 650 receives a subtle visual refresh in the form of a new grey-and-black livery with green accents. Apart from this updated paint finish, there are no changes to its design or hardware, although the latest version is now priced Rs 15,000 higher than before. Interested customers can book the new bike online or by visiting their nearest Kawasaki dealership, deliveries are expected to begin from January 2026.
The updated Versys 650 adopts a restrained new look, finished primarily in black and dark grey, complemented by subtle green accents. Alongside this cosmetic refresh, Kawasaki has also made a meaningful technical update by ensuring the 650cc engine is now compatible with E20 fuel.
At its core, the Versys 650 continues with Kawasaki’s proven 649cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin motor, producing 67hp and 61Nm of torque. Feature highlights include a 4.3-inch full-colour TFT instrument cluster and an adjustable windscreen with four height settings. Staying true to its road-focused touring character, the motorcycle’s tall stance and long-travel suspension offer 150mm at the front and 145mm at the rear.
With its 21-litre fuel tank filled, the motorcycle tips the scales at 220kg. It also comes with a commanding 845mm seat height and 170mm of ground clearance, making it well-suited to handle varied and uneven road conditions. Braking hardware on the Versys 650 includes twin 300mm discs up front, paired with a single 250mm disc at the rear.
