Separatist Khalistan Liberation Force terrorist Harminder Mintoo was today arrested in Delhi, just a day after he was broken out of the high-security Nabha Jail in Punjab's Patiala district. Khalistan Liberation Front chief Harminder Mintoo , who along with five others escaped from Nabha jail in Punjab yesterday, was arrested in Delhi today. Mintoo was reportedly arrested in a joint operation by Punjab and Delhi police.

A 24-year old woman, Reena, was killed on Sunday in Samrala, Punjab, when police opened fire at a vehicle which jumped a security barricade. Police in the state are on high alert after six inmates of Nabha jail - including dreaded Khalistan Liberation Force chief Harminder Mintoo - escaped earlier today.

Amarinder said "the incident had exposed a complete breakdown of law and order in the state, while triggering fears of revival of terrorism ahead of the Assembly elections". The shocking manner in which the gangsters walked into the high-security jail and freed a dreaded Khalistani terrorist along with other convicts clearly shows complicity at the highest levels, said Amarinder.
