"Modi to auction a controversial suit!" screamed a foreign newspaper. It further continued "that bears his name…" I wasn't sure if wearing the suit was controversial or if the suit actually was controversial because it contained Modi's name as per the article.
A lot has been read into and said about the recent Obama visit to India, the first for any American president attending as a chief guest, at India's republic day celebrations.
It's around 6:00 PM in the evening and the sun still beamed like 2:00 in the afternoon; a group of elderly people sat in a group around a circular table, contended with the dusk setting in, both in their lives, and the outdoors they were placed in.
Every day as I drove past this shopping complex, I would see the sign change randomly. Some days it would say "Rana market" and on the others it would say "Raja market". I would joke with my wife that this guy would change the sign of his shop to "Raja" when he felt like a King on the relatively warm days, and would revert back to "Rana" on bitterly cold days.
