Magic ballot for a magical win

KOLKATA: After glamour, it is now the turn of magic to influence the ballot boxes. Filmstars trying to influence the decision of the electorate is old news now.
Fresh from the oven is an offer from a world-famous magician, to brandish his wand and multiply the votes of any candidate who can convince him of his honesty and integrity.
PC Sorcar has decided to wield some of his magic on ballot boxes for this election.
“My magic will support any candidate who guarantees me that he will work for the benefit of the country and not give way to corruption. If he can convince me of his dedication, I will use my magic to multiply his votes,� said Sorcar.
So, how will he do that? Will he cast a spell on the button, the candidate or the ballot box? And how will he multiply the votes?
“Just the way I made Taj Mahal disappear, this will also be done scientifically. However, it is ultimately magic and if I reveal what the magic is, there will be no mystery,� he laughs.
He will be demonstrating his magic for the city’s intellectuals ‘‘very soon.’’ The idea is to get all these people under one roof and hold a mock-voting procedure.
He will be assisted by his wife and three daughters, who will pose as candidates from different political parties.
