US Secret Service on Thursday launched a probe into overnight gunfire near the White House in Washington.
According to news agency Associated Press, gunfire was reported near Lafayette Park, which is across the street from the White House.
No injuries were reported and suspect was found after the Secret Service launched a search of the park and the surrounding area at midnight, the agency said in an online post.
This comes as US President Donald Trump is spending the weekend at the White House. However, the White House is yet to comment on the incident.
Meanwhile, the Secret Service said that the White House operations remained as normal but security in the area was increased.
The park has been fenced off for weeks of renovations.
The Secret Service said it was working with District of Columbia police and US Park Police.
