EDISON (NEW JERSEY): Gujarati hotel chains are making a splash all over the US. If Bhikhu Patel from Singod village in south Gujarat, who bought his first motel in 1976, is expanding his Tarsadia Hotels across the country with tie-ups with Hilton, Marriott and Starwood, Surat's Bharat Shah runs the Noble Investment Group that has developed and acquired over $1.4 billion in hospitality assets.And, the second generation hoteliers are ready for competition and to take the dream further.
Says AAHOA vice-chairman Danny Patel, "More than 85% of the association's revenues are diverted to seminars in order to equip hoteliers to deal with the challenges of time."
