NEW DELHI: The Los Angeles Kings secured a 4-1 victory over the Colorado Avalanche on Sunday evening, extending their successful run with six wins in their last seven games. Quinton Byfield played a crucial role in the Kings' triumph, scoring two goals to contribute significantly to the team's offensive efforts.

The Avalanche initially took a 1-0 lead in the first period when Josh Manson found the back of the net with a wrist shot from the right circle. However, the Kings responded in the second period as Byfield deflected a slap shot from Mikey Anderson to tie the game 1-1 at 9:03.

The third period proved decisive for the Kings, starting with Byfield's second goal. With 6:34 left, Byfield redirected a short centering pass from Adrian Kempe to give the Kings a 2-1 lead. Just 56 seconds later, Trevor Moore extended the lead to 3-1 with a goal scored short-side up high.

Cam Talbot, the Kings' goalie, played a key role in the victory, making 20 saves to thwart the Avalanche's offensive attempts. The Kings sealed the win with an empty-net goal from Drew Doughty, assisted by Talbot, making the final score 4-1 with 1:07 left in the game.

The Avalanche faced challenges, playing without defenseman Cale Makar, who was sidelined due to a lower-body injury sustained in their previous game. Despite Makar's absence, the Kings capitalized on their opportunities to secure the victory, showcasing their strong form in recent games.
