A chilling homicide investigation unfolds as a couple and their children, along with their beloved dogs, are discovered dead within their Romeoville residence in Chicago suburb, reported WGN9.
Authorities initiated a welfare check on Sunday evening at 8:40 p.m. on Concord Avenue's 500 block in response to a missing family member who failed to report for work and remained unresponsive to calls.
Upon reaching the scene, law enforcement uncovered four lifeless bodies, including two adults and two children, each bearing fatal gunshot wounds within the home.

Tragically, three dogs met a similar gruesome fate.
The adult victims have been identified as Alberto Rolon, 38, and Zoraida Bartolomei, 32, while the children, aged 7 and 9, were the offspring of Rolon and Bartolomei. The identities of the children have not yet been disclosed.
Investigators have pinpointed the time of the shooting to a window between 9 p.m. on Saturday and 5 a.m. on Sunday. Authorities have ruled out the possibility of the shooter being among the victims.

Deputy Chief of Police Chris Burne emphasized the paramount importance of this case, with all officers and support staff relentlessly dedicated to the investigation. Over 36 hours, detectives and crime scene investigators have gathered a substantial volume of physical evidence, revealing that this incident was not a random act, and there is no need for a shelter-in-place order.
The young victims were enrolled at R.C. Hill Elementary School, which will provide a crisis intervention team for students on Tuesday.
Mayor John Noak expressed the community's profound grief over this tragedy, particularly when children are involved. He has directed social services staff to offer support to the community to commence the healing process. A thorough investigation is underway, with a commitment of full resources to this essential task to honor the victims.
No suspects are in custody as the Romeoville police and the Will County Major Crimes Task Force continue their ongoing investigation.
