Harris vs Trump Debate: ABC News co-anchor's Kamala connection makes MAGA furious

During last night’s presidential debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump, ABC News journalist Linsey Davis co-moderated alongside David Muir. Davis shares a notable connection with Harris, as both are members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Davis joined the Theta Kappa chapter during her time at the University of Virginia, where she earned a bachelor’s degree before completing a master’s degree in communications from New York University.

Davis has built an impressive career at ABC News, contributing to major programs like World News Tonight, Good Morning America, 20/20, and Nightline. Despite Davis’ professional accolades, her role as moderator for this debate sparked concerns from several Republicans, who questioned her impartiality due to her AKA sorority ties with Kamala Harris. Rachel Campos-Duffy tweeted, "How come I didn’t know debate moderator @LinseyDavis was Kamala’s AKA sorority sister till today? Not right. There’s no way #ABC would let a Trump frat bro moderate last night’s #debate!" The comment highlights perceptions of bias, suggesting a similar scenario involving a Trump-affiliated moderator would not be allowed.

Another Twitter user, @lbgray3, expressed doubts about the fairness of the debate, writing, "No coincidence that @LinseyDavis co-moderated the debate of @KamalaHarris and Trump on @ABC. They are sisters of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority. Tell me Kamala didn’t have the questions in advance." This tweet reflected broader Republican concerns that the debate process may have been skewed in Harris' favor.

Similarly, Libs of TikTok insinuated that Davis' personal connection to Harris might have influenced the debate outcome, echoing Republican frustrations over what they perceive as a media double standard. Many argued that if a moderator with ties to Trump had been selected, there would have been an immediate backlash.
