YouTube superstar Jimmy “MrBeast” surprised fans after changing his official X profile picture to Monkey D. Luffy from the anime One Piece. The moment came after MrBeast publicly asked his followers if he should start watching the long-running anime series, admitting he felt overwhelmed by its huge number of episodes.

The post drew thousands of replies from fans, streamers, and creators across platforms. Many encouraged him to give the anime a shot. Within a day, MrBeast appeared to embrace the idea, confirming that he had been convinced and keeping the One Piece character as his profile picture.

Streamers' community react as MrBeast joins the One Piece anime conversation

MrBeast’s question about watching One Piece received over 6,900 replies. Several well-known creators jumped into the discussion. Popular streamer IShowSpeed suggested that starting the anime would be a life-changing experience for MrBeast. He implied that the journey of the show leaves a deep impact on viewers once they commit to it.

Twitch and YouTube star Valkyrae also shared her opinion, describing One Piece as the greatest anime ever made. She jokingly added that after finishing the series, MrBeast should consider creating a One Piece-themed amusement park, showing how strongly she feels about the franchise.

Content creator InfernoOmni took a more analytical approach. He explained that One Piece is not about rushing to the end. According to him, viewers eventually stop worrying about finishing and instead enjoy being part of the long journey. He suggested that once people reach that stage, they often wish the story would never end.

Political streamer Hasan “HasanAbi” shared his personal experience. He admitted that he once mocked One Piece fans and avoided the show because of its length and art style. Despite the criticism, MrBeast’s move has already sparked fresh interest in One Piece across social media.
