“Covering up his death”: Brandon Tatum speaks boldly after Candace Owens and Ben Shapiro clash over Charlie Kirk assassination

Brandon Tatum spoke out clearly after Candace Owens made serious claims that caused tension inside conservative circles. On his podcast, The Officer Tatum, Brandon Tatum reacted to the claims linked to Turning Point USA and its founder, Charlie Kirk. He called the accusations “nonsensical” and said there was no proof behind them. This happened during and after AmericaFest, also known as AmFest, which ended on December 21. The issue grew bigger after Ben Shapiro publicly criticized Candace Owens on stage.

His speech spread fast online and pulled in other big names, including Megyn Kelly. While Brandon Tatum said Candace Owens is his friend, he made it clear he does not agree with her claims. He said blaming Turning Point USA for anything related to Charlie Kirk, without proof, makes no sense. His comments added another layer to a debate that has already divided many voices on the right.

While discussing the issue, Brandon Tatum spoke calmly but firmly about Candace Owens. He said their friendship does not stop him from speaking honestly.




“Candace is my friend. But I disagree with her. I call out everything that she said about Turning Point being involved and everything. I disagree with it,” Tatum said.

“I think, to me, it is nonsensical to think that Turning Point, with no evidence, has something to do with Charlie’s death or covering up his death,” he added.

The claims discussed were accusations and questions raised by Owens, not proven events. Tatum also said he disagreed with Candace Owens’ comments about Israel. He made it clear that he does not support those views.

The situation escalated after Ben Shapiro criticized Owens during his speech at AmFest. He also took aim at Megyn Kelly, saying she failed to call Candace Owens out. Ben Shapiro later referred to critics as “cowards.” Megyn Kelly responded a day later on Turning Point’s stage.

“He had the nerve to call me a friend right before he called me a despicable coward,” Kelly said.

“I resent that he thinks he’s in a position to decide who must say what to whom and when.”

Megyn Kelly also shared that Erika Kirk had asked her to help moderate a conversation with Owens. She said she did not feel any duty to stop Owens from asking questions.

“I didn’t, and I didn’t call her out because I favored her asking them,” Megyn Kelly said.

Earlier this year, Brandon Tatum had supported Owens when she claimed there was an assassination threat against her involving French leaders. He said at the time that such claims should be fully investigated. AmericaFest ended on December 21. The four-day event featured many conservative voices. Rapper Nicki Minaj appeared as a special guest on the final day.
