A UK man, Colin Blake, found spider eggs in his toe while on vacation in France to celebrate his 35th wedding anniversary. His toe turned purple overnight and a doctor confirmed that he was bitten by a Peruvian wolf spider, which laid eggs in his toe. After antibiotics, a 'foreign body' was removed from his toe, which turned out to be spider eggs. Weeks later, another 'foreign body' was discovered, which was a hatched spider. Doctors removed it and Blake is expected to make a full recovery.
