Prince William, whose full name is William Arthur Philip Louis, turned 41 on June 21.

The Prince of Wales was born on June 21, 1982, at St Mary's Hospital in London, England. He is the elder son of King Charles and the late Princess Diana.

It is the Prince of Wales’s first birthday since King Charles appointed him to the title following Queen Elizabeth’s death.

He already holds the title of Duke of Cambridge, Earl of Strathearn, and Baron Carrickfergus. William married Catherine Middleton, now known as Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, on April 29, 2011, in a widely celebrated royal wedding.
