Israeli army launched airstrikes late on Tuesday, targeting 20 Hezbollah sites in the Dahiyeh area of southern Beirut, a known stronghold of the militant group.

"20 terrorist targets in 120 seconds: the Air Force completed attacks on 20 terrorist targets in Beirut," Israeli Air Force said in a post on X.

The strikes took place shortly before Israel's security cabinet approved a ceasefire in Lebanon.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it issued evacuation warnings for 20 buildings in the area and struck all the sites within two minutes. The operation was carried out by eight fighter jets.

The targets included seven sites used by Hezbollah for managing and storing funds. These included headquarters, money storage locations, and branches of the Al-Karch Al-Hassan Association, which Hezbollah reportedly uses for financial operations.

The other 13 sites included an aerial forces center, an intelligence division command room, weapons storage facilities, and other military infrastructure.

The Israeli military also released footage of the strikes.

Earlier, Lebanese media reported a separate Israeli airstrike in central Beirut, outside Hezbollah’s stronghold.

This strike was conducted without an evacuation warning and was described as a possible assassination attempt rather than an attack on Hezbollah’s infrastructure.
