Divisional Commissioner of Moradabad Division, Aunjaneya Kumar Singh said, "Police have registered a total of 7 FIRs so far, 4 of these have been registered by the families of the deceased. A total of 27 people have been arrested, of these 3 are women and 3 are juveniles. The juveniles have been sent to juvenile homes. 74 people have been identified with the help of people, camera and video footage. Identification of others is being done. We have also issued their videos and photos to seek help from the people so that they can be easily identified...Situation in Sambhal is normal. Administration is in continuous touch with people and efforts are underway to restore trust. As a precautionary measure, force is deployed in the area where the incident occurred...Regarding the restoration of the internet, a review will be done today. "The situation that was there in Sambhal should be condemned with way stone pelting, bullets were fired, police were attacked. These are unfortunate, and it seems that it was pre-planned," says BJP leader Arun Govil on Sambhal incident.
"When Opposition parties get defeated, they always blame the EVM. There is no point in going back to ballot paper, when the technology has advanced a lot. I don't think it is right," he added on talks on going back to ballot papers for elections.
"It is wrong, the government should take strict steps and talk to Bangladesh, I am sure they will be doing it. The people should feel safe there, we should ensure it," he further added on situation in Bangladesh.

A local said, “It will take some time to alleviate the fear and anxiety that have taken root in people’s hearts in Sambhal. Though there is no violence, when police vehicles with loud sirens move through our streets, most of us get panic attacks. To be honest, we are extremely scared. Most of us are illiterate and won’t be able to do anything if the police frame us in a case, as over 2,000 people are booked in the FIRs.”
Expressing his disappointment with political parties, he added, “No Muslim leader is coming to give assurance of safety to us. People whom we had voted for have abandoned us. No one is asking if our children had food or not. We are not even able to trust the police or the administration. Govt had made promises of providing support to Pasmanda Muslims, but not one ruling party leader has come to meet us.”

Sambhal Violence Live: Internet services remain suspended, 27 arrested
Sambhal SP Krishan Kumar confirmed that the internet shutdown in the region will continue, though all other restrictions have been lifted as normalcy returns.
"So far, 27 people, including 25 men and 2 women, have been arrested, and 7 FIRs have been registered in connection with the violence," the police stated.
Speaking about the current situation, SP Krishan Kumar told ANI, "After the Sunday incident that took place in Sambhal district, the police had called for a precautionary internet shutdown, which continues. All other things have been restored to normalcy."
He added, "The police have processed all the CCTV footage of the people involved in the incident. More than 100 people have been identified. They will soon be apprehended by the police. In the last 24 hours, 27 people have been arrested, out of which 25 are men and 2 are women. Sambhal MP Zia-ur-Rehman Barq has been issued a notice under Section 168 of the BNS on November 23."

Sambhal victims leave behind families more miserable, poor
Families of Naeem, Bilal, Noman, and Kaif, who were killed in the Sambhal violence, are left dealing with grief and financial challenges. Naeem ran a sweets shop, Bilal owned a clothing store, and Kaif sold cosmetics in a weekly market.
"My father, Haneef, is a vendor. Since the financial condition of my family is not good, Bilal started a clothing shop in the local supermarket. We are four brothers," said Mohammad Aleem.
He added, "Our material (cloth) had come, and we had gone to the shop to keep it. As we were returning after closing the shop, police started a lathicharge and fired bullets. A bullet hit him. We searched for him in the hospital, where we came to know that he had been referred to Moradabad, where he died."
