Residents in northern and central Saudi Arabia are being warned of a sharp drop in temperatures from Saturday. The National Centre for Meteorology (NCM) has forecast a cold wave across several regions, bringing freezing conditions and noticeably colder weather over the coming days.
The National Centre for Meteorology (NCM) has confirmed that a cold wave will affect parts of the Kingdom from Saturday through Tuesday. The regions most likely to experience the impact include Al-Jawf, the Northern Borders, Tabuk, Hail, Al-Qassim, Riyadh, and the northern areas of the Eastern Province.
Minimum temperatures in these areas are expected to range between 2°C and minus 2°C, meaning some locations could face below-freezing conditions. The NCM emphasised that the cold wave will bring a marked and noticeable drop in temperatures across the affected regions.
Residents and authorities have been urged to monitor weather updates and take necessary precautions to manage the unusually cold conditions. This cold spell is part of a wider pattern of sudden temperature fluctuations in the Kingdom, highlighting the importance of awareness and preparation during extreme weather events.
