It's raining wedding for celebrities this year. After Sanaya Irani-Mohit Sehgal, Bipasha Basu-Karan Singh Grover, Divyanka Tripathi-Vivek Dahiya, Mihika Verma, the latest celeb to join the band wagon is singer-turned-actress, Sophie Choudry. Sophie took to Twitter and posted a lovely picture of herself with a mystery guy flaunting her engagement ring. However, the lady has not revealed the adorable the face of her fiance in the post. Soon after Sophie's post, wishes from all her close friends started pouring in. Celebs like Bipasha Basu, Neha Dhupia were the first ones to wish the actress.

Suyyash Rai on wedding plans with girlfriend Kishwer Merchantt: Ex-Bigg Boss contestants Suyyash Rai and Kishwer Merchantt have been together for the longest time. And now the two are planning to take their relationship to the next level. Speaking to an entertainment portal, Suyyash said that marriage will take place this year, though he is unsure of the date or month. On being asked about Kishwer and their relationship, he clarified that break-ups do not affect them and will not deter them from taking the plunge. He knows for sure that Kishwer is the one and is ready to take the big leap. For the grand proposal, Suyyash disclosed that actor Rithvik Dhanjani has been discussing ideas with him. He hasn't finalized anything yet but plans to take Kishwer out of the country to propose.

Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya, who met on the sets of their show Ye Hai Mohabbatein, have finally set their wedding date. The couple, who got engaged a couple of months ago, will have an elaborate shaadi with sangeet, mehndi, pheras and the reception. While the sangeet and wedding will be held in Bhopal, a reception is being planned in Vivek's hometown, Chandigarh.

Vivek says "The baraat will reach Bhopal on July 7 for the sangeet and the wedding is on July 8. We will leave for a reception in Chandigarh on July 10." The couple also plans to have a reception in Mumbai. Says Divyanka, "It will be a traditional wedding and a very close knit affair as we want to keep it private."

The two are keeping their honeymoon a secret. Vivek says, "I want it to be a surprise for her, so I won't be able to share the destination." At a time when romance goes flying out of the window within a few years, Vivek admits that it is important for two individuals to love each other whole-heartedly.

He says, "There must be unconditional love and full acceptance of each other. Initially , everything looks rosy , but with time, you realise that things are not perfect. This happens with all couples.So one should understand that and be a pillar of support for the other and accept their weaknesses as well. It is important to strengthen the bond."

Sambhavna Seth to tie the knot on July 14: After getting engaged to Avinash Dwivedi, her actor-dancer boyfriend of five years, on February 13 this year, Sambhavna Seth is now set to tie the knot with him on July 14. Though her parents were against the match during the engagement, they'll be present at the wedding. The rituals will be performed by her brothers and sisters-in-law. Sambhavna says, "My parents haven't really agreed to the match, but we have decided to take the relationship to the next level. It will be a low-key wedding in Delhi since we both are from the Capital. A reception will be held later in Mumbai for my industry friends." The two met on the set of a regional dance reality show, in which Sambhavna was his mentor.

Mihika Verma of 'Ye Hai Mohabbatein' fame gets married: Mihika Verma, who recently quit 'Ye Hai Mohabbatein', got married on April 29 in a private ceremony, according to reports. Mihika was rumoured to be dating Mayank Gandhi, but they parted ways due to problems in their relationship. Mayank is now engaged to actress Hunar Hale, and Mihika has also moved on. Her sister Rucchiraa posted this picture of Mihika looking absolutely gorgeous in a red lehenga. As per sources, Mihika might quit working to enjoy her married life with her husband, who is not from the industry.

Deeya Chopra gets engaged!

TV's beautiful actress Deeya Chopra, is all set to tie the knot. Deeya who has done TV shows like 'Left Right Left', 'Na Aana Is Des Laado', 'Mrs Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein', recently got engaged to her London-based boyfriend Ritchie Mehta. Deeya's sister Roshni Chopra, also a popular TV personality took to her Instagram account congratulating her baby sister. The rituals will take place according to Maharashtrian tradition. “We might have another wedding in Goa. My friends have planned a surprise for us immediately after our wedding. They have asked us to buy a tuxedo and a casual veil. I am hoping that they have planned a white wedding for us,” reveals the actor. The couple got acquainted at a film school while working on a short film together — Sahil played the hero while Eesha was the supervising producer. However, their love story took off when they met on a random date in September 2013. He says, “What attracted me to her was the fact that she is passionate about her dream and work. She is shy, yet confident. Many might assume that I wear the pants in the relationship, but not many know that she can be assertive too, and how! She doesn’t bow down easily. We bond over our love for movies, and often share the same opinion. When we differ, she is the one who wins the argument.” Sahil is in a profession where link-up rumours are quite common. How do they deal with it? “Eesha is well-educated and takes such rumours in her stride. Besides, she has a strong instinct and will know if I stray,” he laughs.

He will tie the knot with his girlfriend Gazala Shaikh on February 24. “It will be a simple theme-based wedding of white and gold,” he says. Talking about his better half, Faisal reveals that he met Gazala, a south Indian actress, at a common friend’s party at Lonavala in 2012. “We have a great understanding and are extremely compatible. She is supportive, loving and caring. In fact, she has helped me in my career as a photographer,” says the actor, who has developed interest in photography and has also taken it up professionally since 2009. “Since I have a background in acting, it has become my strength as a photographer. After denying our report about their affair, the latest on the onscreen siblings Neeraj Malviya and Charu Asopa is that they are all set to get engaged this month and tie the knot within a year. Neeraj says, “We will exchange rings on February 17 in Bhopal. We haven’t fixed a date for the wedding, but that will happen any time before February 2017.” They have been dating since Neeraj proposed his love to Charu on his birthday in June last year. He says, “We knew each other before we fell in love. A common friend tried to get us together, but as they say, ‘everything happens at the right time’. It’s only after we started working together, did we feel strongly for each other.” So, why didn’t they admit to their relationship earlier? “We felt that it was too soon to admit to being in a relationship,” he replies. Talking about what brought them together, Neeraj says, “She is from Bikaner and I am from Bhopal. We realised that we had common interests and a similar upbringing. Also, she can speak chaste Hindi, something I always wanted my partner to be good at.” Neeraj and Charu play siblings in 'Mere Angne Mein', fortunately they haven’t been given too many scenes in the show. “Even if we are in the same frame, I will be a thorough professional. I guess Charu might have a problem though. For a scene, she had to call me ‘Amit bhaiya’, so she chose to address me as Amitji instead,” he laughs.

Binny Sharma ties the knot with her hero: Binny Sharma, who was last seen in Hello Pratibha, tied the knot with actor Aksshat Gupta, her co-star from a previous show, recently. Says Binny, “I first met him on the set of Tujh Sang Preet Lagai Sajna, when he replaced the hero opposite me. We used to sit with the entire cast during meals and that’s how it all started. Our eyes said it all. One day, Aksshat told me that if I was sure about the relationship, he would like to have a word with my parents and spend the rest of his life with me.” However, just when they were getting to know each other better, Aksshat quit the show due to creative differences. “That day I realised that I was deeply in love with him. It was difficult to come to terms with the fact that I won’t be able to work with him,” she says. She attributes the attraction to his grounded nature, honesty and dedication towards his work. “I believe that our meeting on the show was God’s will. Though we were together for only a month, we were sure about wanting to get married to each other. Aksshat has brought a lot of change in my life and made me more positive and calm.” The low-key affair in Ahmedabad was followed by a reception in Delhi.

Jaswir Kaur to tie the knot on March 6: TV actress Jaswir Kaur will be tying the knot with her boyfriend, Vishal, in Mumbai on March 6. The couple will have the engagement ceremony on February 28 and the wedding on March 6. “I am playing a cricket match on February 20 and one on March 11 (in a cricket tournament for TV actors), which means I won’t be taking a break after marriage. It’s Vishal’s birthday on April 2, so we’ll be going to Italy then. I was also not taking up any long-running shows because of my wedding,” Jaswir told us. The actress added, “The pheras will happen in the evening, followed by the reception. We don’t want to torture people by having pheras at night!"

Wedding bells for Shikha Singh: Shikha Singh is set to tie the knot with her boyfriend Karan Shah, a pilot, in May. They have known each other for four years now and it will be a Gujarati wedding for the two. “I met Karan in the gym one day when I was helping a friend with his workout. That’s when I realised we stayed in the same building,” says Shikha. “We were friends for almost two years and then decided to take it a step further. A week ago, he proposed casually on the lunch table when his parents were present and I accepted,” she gushes. The two have a lot in common, she says, adding, “We love travelling and also enjoy playing ek tuppi cricket. Karan is simple and honest and he understands the long hours I need to put in at work. Also, he is calm and tolerates me and my difficult ways! Jaipur actor Aniruddh Dave got married yesterday to actress Shubhi Ahuja in a lavish wedding hosted on Tuesday evening in Jaipur. To attend his wedding, his co-actors and friends from the TV world flew down to the Pink City and enjoyed various ceremonies hosted before the wedding. On Monday evening, a sangeet ceremony on the Sufi theme was hosted, where the entire Dave clan, along with the couple, Aniruddh and Shubhi, danced to the song 'Chori Kiya Re Jiya' song from the film Dabangg.

Shubhi Ahuja is an actor from Kota in Rajasthan. Spotted shaking a leg with the couple were TV actors Ajay Chaudhary, Shobhit Atrey and Mohit Daga. Actor Surendra Pal too joined them for a while. Shashank Vyas said, “Jaipur is a very famous wedding destination and now I know why the city has garnered so much attention. It is perfect for celebrations, with lovely heritage locations, and Dave’s family has managed everything so well.” Enjoying the evening, Aniruddh was seen humming songs with Shubhi . He said, “I always wanted a lavish wedding with friends and relatives enjoying naach-gaana and band-baaraat. It’s a special feeling and my friends have managed to come and share the joy with me despite their hectic schedules.”

Vrinda Dawda gets engaged

Gorgeous Vrinda Dawda who impressed the viewers with her performance in Channel V’s 'Dil Dostii Dance' is now engaged. Vrinda made her relationship official on April 22 with beau Bhavin Mehta in a ceremony in Gujarat. The couple exchanged rings amidst family and close friends on November 22. Vrinda's close friend Firoza, shared, "Vrinda and Bhavin were looking super cute. It was an engagement cum sangeet ceremony. The D3 gang and a few close friends were present. The actress is getting married to Mayur, a Chartered Accountant from Mumbai. It's an arranged marriage. A reception party will be held after the wedding.

My producer Rajan (Shahi) sir has also to be there whenever I needed help, Heena and Karan are supportive, even when it comes to the wedding preparations.” So, how did she meet her husband-to-be? “Maanish is from Amritsar, settled in Mumbai. We met through a common friend at a party a year ago. It’s a love-cum-arranged marriage.” With her show being all about discovering love post marriage, Pooja admits that the experience in it will come in handy in real life now.

The celebrations started with a rain dance and pool party that went on all day followed by a sangeet with performances by relatives and buddies. The Indian-style wedding was held next morning where the dulha made a grand entry on a bike with the baaraat. It was followed by a beach wedding at sunset where everyone was dressed in white. “The party continued for four days,” sums up Kushal.

Meri baraat haathi par jaayegi, says Aniruddh Dave: Aniruddh Dave is all set to tie the knot with his fiancée Shubhi Ahuja in Japiur by the end of this month. Aniruddh is currently seen on Yam Hain Hum and Shubhi is busy with Suryaputra Karn. “I will be shooting till four days before my marriage, and so will Shubhi. She says that brides go in for spa/facial packages before their wedding, but she has been getting tanned by shooting under the sun. I have always had huge dreams about my marriage, it will be a royal affair. We are still not revealing the date but it’s happening by the end of this month,” Dave told us.The couple will be flying out of the country for their honeymoon right after the wedding, as they do not want to wait. “Shubhi is currently having her swayamvar on her show and in real life. It’s a coincidence that both reel and real life weddings are happening simultaneously,” Dave added.

Shrruti gets engaged, to tie the knot in April: Shrruti Rawatt, who plays Bhairavi in 'Badi Dooooor Se Aaye Hai', got engaged to her boyfriend Nikkhil Agawane, who works for an exhibition company, on November 5. The wedding is in April next year. Incidentally, they started dating seven months ago in April. So, how did they meet? Shrruti says, “Nikkhil and I go to the same gym. After almost two months of chasing, I finally went out on a coffee date with him and fell head-over-heels in love after a couple of dates. He came directly to my house with his parents and told my mother that he was in love with me and that he would keep me happy. I am glad that I came across a beautiful soul like him. He is very supportive of my career. In fact, his comic timing is better than mine and no one can mimic Bhairavi better than him. He brings out the best in me. Also, we share similar interests. He is as crazy as me. I can be myself around him because I know he won’t judge me. ” Talking about the wedding rituals, she says, “He is a Maharashtrian and I am a Garhwali. But our parents were cool about it and everything went smoothly. We are busy with our commitments this year and hence, we have finalised the wedding date for the next year. It will be a Marathi wedding and I will wear a nauvari. I am looking forward to it.”

Himanshu Soni to wed producer of his show on November 27: Himanshu Soni, who’s playing Lord Shiva (Shivaye) in Neeli Chatri Waale, is all set to tie the knot with girlfriend Sheetal Singh (earlier Ridhwana) on November 27. The wedding will take place in two styles — North Indian and South Indian. He says, “I met Sheetal two years ago while preparing for my role in Buddha. She was the co-producer of the show. I was going through a low in my personal life, but she boosted my confidence. She became my friend, philosopher and guide. She motivated me to stay positive and resolve the issues of life.” The fact that he had fallen for her dawned on him while enacting a scene in Buddha. “It was while shooting the enlightenment sequence that I proposed to her, but she took her time and reciprocated only after the show got over,” he recalls. Giving details about the wedding plans, he says, “It will be at a prominent heritage property in Jaipur. The marriage functions will last over three days. I am only taking a 10-day break from my show. I have no immediate plans for a honeymoon as I have to resume the shoot.”Meanwhile, on the work front, Himanshu has been finalised to essay Lord Krishna in Suryaputra Karn. “This is the fourth divine character that I will play on screen. It feels as if I am born to play God. I was thrilled when I was offered Krishna. What’s interesting is that I'm playing a modern Shivaye and traditional Krishna,” he says. He has earlier played Lord Vishnu in Ramayan.

Alokk Narula to get married next month: Alokk, who has done shows like 'Jyoti', 'Mrs Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuyein', 'Yeh Dil Sun Raha Hai'and 'Badii Devrani' will be tying the knot with long time girlfriend Anshu Malik, who is a dietician by profession, on 7 December. Shared a friend close to the two, “Marriage had been on the cards for quite some time. Praneet Bhat to tie the knot on November 4: Praneet Bhat, who’s popular as Shakuni mama in 'Mahabharat', is set to tie the knot with Kanchan Sharma, his girlfriend of five years, on November 4 in Lucknow. The seven-day affair will begin with sangeet on November 1 and havan on November 2 and 3 in Jammu. The groom, along with his family, friends and relatives, will fly down to Kanchan’s home town (Lucknow) for the pheras. The reception will be held in Jammu on November 7. The actor, who was seen in the last season of Bigg Boss, says, “My co-actors from Mahabharat and reality show friends, including Sonali Raut, Sushant Divgikar and Pritam Singh, are expected to attend the function.” Praneet and Kanchan met while doing theatre and the actor was bowled over by her. “It was love at first sight for me and I proposed to her. It took her over a year to accept it as she wanted to be sure of my intentions. I told her that it wasn’t a fling for me and that I wanted to marry her. She is a passionate theatre artiste and a stylist. In fact, she has contributed to my wedding trousseau, too.” The couple is yet to decide on a honeymoon destination. “We will be celebrating Diwali in Jammu and then, I will be shooting for a project. Rahul Mahajan’s ex-wife Dimpy to marry again: Dimpy Ganguly, who married Rahul Mahajan on a reality show in 2010 and divorced him four years later, is set to begin a new chapter in her life with her Dubai-based structural engineer beau Rohit Roy.

She will tie the knot with him on November 27. “The roka will happen in the first week of November,” says Dimpy. Life has come a full circle for her as Rohit and she happen to be each other’s school crush.

She says, “We were from different schools and would meet only during fests, but we could never talk about our feelings for each other. And then, I moved on. Strangely, I bumped into him in Dubai in 2013, almost a decade later, and that’s when we confessed our feelings to each other.

I couldn’t believe that the guy who I crushed on, liked me too. The innocent school charm brought us closer, apart from the fact that we belonged to Kolkata. After I moved out of the city, my parents bought a new house which turned out to be just a few kilometres away from Rohit’s house. It was as if destiny was trying to bring us together.”
“He was there when I was going through a difficult time during my divorce proceedings. So, when he proposed to me with a commitment ring on October 12, I did not hesitate one bit before accepting it.
He has put up with me when I was in the worst phase of my life,” she adds.
Both Rahul and Rohit know each other and have spoken on various occasions. How did Rohit react to her crying inside the Bigg Boss house last year when she saw Rahul, who entered the show, for a few hours?

“Rohit could sense what I was going through. It was a hostile environment and Rahul was a familiar face. More than it being a weak moment, I would say I was overwhelmed,” she reveals. Ask her if she will invite Rahul for the wedding and she replies, “I never thought about that, but now that you ask, why not? I believe in appreciating good things in a person and relationship. We were two different people trying too hard to make the marriage work, but it fell apart. Neither of us was at fault.”
Dimpy will be shuttling between Dubai and India post marriage. Is she looking to do more TV shows? “Yes, of course. I won’t be taking a break till I become a mother. I would love to become one soon,” she signs off.
