BTS' Jin discharged from military

On June 12, BTS' Jin was discharged from duty, emerging as the first member of the band to successfully completed his service as an active-duty soldier stationed at the 5th Infantry Division in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do. In his first live chat post discharge, Jin opened up about his military training and said, "It feels strange saying this, but I had a good time in the military. Soldiers are called warriors, and those in higher ranks, such as sergeants, are called executives. I created a good relationship between the ranks. Everyone cried because of the good vibes. I cried twice. It was awkward, and I wanted to look more handsome, but it didn’t work out." He also hosted a fan meet at the 2024 BTS Festa and hugged 1000 fans. All other members of BTS took leave to celebrate Jin’s discharge.
