Son Dam Bi, known for her skills as an actress as well as a singer, has recently opened up about her struggles with motherhood. She delved into how conceiving with IVF took a lot of toll on her and how she has been dealing with everything so far.


Son Dam Bi opens up about IVF treatment

During a recent episode of ‘Let's Go Go,’ which aired on September 6, the idol, along with fellow moms Suga Ayumi and Lee Eun Hyung, all opened up about the qualms of marriage and being a mother. The actress specifically shared how she used IVF to conceive her child and how hard it was for her to deal with. She shared that, "I went to the hospital, but my numbers were too low, and my husband’s numbers were very healthy. They said he was a "king of sperm." She revealed that after going for in vitro fertilization, in her second attempt, she was able to get pregnant. She also talked about the toll it took on her, saying, “I became mentally exhausted and gained a lot of weight. When you fail the in vitro process, they call you, and they say you can’t be too thin, so I gained weight before going in.”The three moms talk about their husbands’ reactions at the time of giving birthWhile all of the cast members were talking about how their husbands reacted to them giving birth, Dam Bi recalled saying, "My husband also said he felt sad. I went in too brightly, and he thought, 'Why is she so bright?'" making everyone laugh. Eun Hyung added on by saying, "I also felt like crying, so I didn’t even say goodbye when I went in. You never know how a surgery will go, considering it's a high-risk pregnancy.” Ayumi recalled, “When my husband said, 'Come back safely,' I felt like crying. So I forced a cheerful, 'I will be back,' but honestly, I felt anxious”.
