Cha Eun-woo, Park Hyung-Sik. Lee Jun-ho: K-pop Idols who are also handsome actors

A crossover of K-pop idols into Korean dramas has been a winning move. Be it ASTRO’s Cha Eun-woo playing a charming school boy in True Beauty or 2PM’s Lee Jun-ho essaying a chaebol in King The Land… these musicians have successfully crossed over to dramas, while still maintaining their connection with fans through music. Here’s celebrating K-pop idols who have successfully transcended as handsome onscreen stars.

Cha Eun-woo has earned much praise for his charisma in Korean dramas. Some of his best works include 'Gangnam Beauty', 'True Beauty' and 'A Good Day to Be a Dog'. The actor ahs a natural charm onscreen which has positively resonated with audiences. Interestingly, Cha Eun-woo started his career as an actor with a minor role in 2014 and went on to make his debut with ASTRO in 2016.

Park Hyung-sik has switftly worked his way in the entertainment industry, with a blend of successful acting projects and his band ZE:A. He debuted as a singer in 2010 with K-pop band ZE:A and in 2012, he looked beyond cameos with special drama I Remember You. Over the years he has starred in numerous dramas, dishing out his acting skills. The Heirs (2013), Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth (2016) and Strong Girl Bong-soon (2017) are some of his notable performances.

After winning numerous singing competitions, Lee Jun-ho debuted in 2008 with 2PM. And in 2013, Lee Jun-ho went on to debut as an actor with action thriller Cold Eyes. Over the years, he has featured in numerous hit Korean dramas like Good Manager (2017), Rain or Shine (2017–18), The Red Sleeve (2021) and and King the Land (2023).

He made for a swift villain in Vincenzo and a charming vampire in Heartbeat... Ok Taec-yeon has made hearts flutter with his onscreen presence. He debut as a rapper in boy band 2PM in 2008. Ok Taec-yeon played host before debuting in 2010 with Korean drama Cinderella's Stepsister. He has also featured in dramas like Wonderful Days (2014), Let's Fight, Ghost (2016), and Vincenzo (2021) and has starred in films like Marriage Blue (2013) and House of the Disappeared (2017).
