Rajpal Yadav on launching his digital universe: Everything is at your fingertips

For Rajpal Yadav, the past month has felt like a film script. The actor, who was recently granted interim bail after a brief jail term, is now turning his focus to a new beginning. Known for his comic timing and memorable screen presence, he has announced his debut in the digital space with the launch of his own YouTube channel, marking the start of what he calls his “Digital Universe”. The platform will feature content across genres and is being developed in collaboration with Sakett Saawhney, content head at a media content company.

Speaking about the move, Rajpal says, “I have noticed across digital platforms that my voice, imagery and personality have been used over the years without my consent or credit. For some time, I have been thinking about communicating directly with my fans across the globe. I have decided to start my own digital universe along with Sakett Saawhney. I have known him for quite some time, and when we met recently to discuss ideas, I realised that our thoughts were aligned.”

He adds, “The digital era is here to stay and everything is at your fingertips. I am excited to start this journey. A lot has happened in the last couple of weeks. I have seen many phases, but the most touching part has been the support from my fans. In fact, the entire country stood by me. I owe everything to them.”

Sakett, who has over 25 years of experience in media production and has backed projects such as Zanjeer and Escaype Live, says the collaboration grew out of a long-standing association. Speaking about the partnership, Sakett says, “I have known Rajpal bhai for 15 years and have always admired his work. When we met recently and began discussing content creation, we realised we shared a similar vision. We then decided to transform our personal friendship into a professional collaboration. We are launching Rajpal Naurang Yadav’s digital universe, beginning with his YouTube channel as phase one, with other business modules to follow.”
