Mukhbir- The Story of A Spy ending explained: What happens to Harfan after his return

Mukhbir- The Story of A Spy has garnered rave reviews from the audience ever since it started streaming a few weeks back. The espionage thriller, starring Zain Khan Durrani, Barkha Bisht Sengupta, Zoya Afroz, Prakash Raj, Harsh Chhaya, Adil Hussain and Satyadeep Mishra amongst others is a compelling tale of a common man, who becomes a spy for the Indian government and gathers crucial information for the country in Pakistan. Here's taking a closer look at what happens at the end of the series.


In the penultimate episode, Harfan while gathering crucial information from Major Agha Khan's house, spots Begum Anar there. As per protocol, Harfan has no option but to push her down the floor, instantly killing her. Riddled with guilt and self hate, Harfan goes to his handler Alamgir and breaks down. Alamgir comforts him and asks him to leave from there, while he takes charge of the situation.

Harfan travels along Kashmir, even getting captured by the Indian Army, but somewhat escapes and runs into officer Moorthy. The two try to flee, however Moorthy is shot by a Pakistani agent who later is shot dead by Moorthy himself. After a couple of months, Moorthy travels to Punjab to meet Harfan who is now serving as a farmer and staying with Alamgir's family, who was captured by the ISI. They two talk and it is insinuated that Moorthy is keen on sending Harfan on another mission soon.

In the end, India ends up on the winning side, with the crucial information gathered by Harfan.
