To think of the missing girls and what their families go through is traumatizing." Rani Mukerji also revealed that she had to distance herself emotionally while playing the character. According to the actor, getting too emotionally involved could have affected her performance. The actress said, "I had to detach myself from these emotions because if I had gotten emotional, I would not have portrayed my character well."ETimes review for 'Mardaani 3'
The film also received praise for its gripping narrative and Rani Mukerji’s performance. Our official ETimes review read, "Rani Mukerji proves why she is so revered as Shivani Shivaji Roy. Her performance as the no-nonsense cop with unflinching integrity is as finessed as the first two volumes. Right from the opening sequence, the actor pulls off the stunts with elan. Mallika Prasad as Amma does a fine job, but the characterisation has little novelty."More about 'Mardaani 3'
