Manoj Bajpayee’s most iconic scenes from ‘The Family Man’ seasons

The trailer for the much-awaited third season of ‘The Family Man’ was unveiled at a grand event in Mumbai on Friday, November 7. This time, the series once again brings back Manoj Bajpayee as the beloved spy Srikant Tiwari, who now finds himself on the run and facing off against a new and formidable threat, played by Jaideep Ahlawat. Manoj Bajpayee has earned widespread praise for his realism and versatility in ‘The Family Man.’ His ability to shift effortlessly between genres shines through in his portrayal of a secret agent who also juggles the life of a middle-class father. Across its two seasons, several of his scenes have gone viral, resonating with audiences for their relatability, emotional depth, and masterful acting. With the trailer for the much-awaited third season now released, let’s take a look back at some of the most famous and unforgettable dialogues from the previous seasons that made Srikant Tiwari a household name.

2/6

“Minimum Guy” Showdown

One of the most memorable scenes of the series Bajpayee was where Srikant, looking calm and collected, stood at the office table with one of his inferior documents and questioned a “minimum guy” to a boss. Srikant, feeling devalued and fed up, quits his job on Calm Steroids, where many in the audience were cheering for his action. This scene provoked a powerful response from the audience. Bajpayee’s defiant calm and universal frustration made the scene one of the most shared series of the scene.

3/6

Counselling Session with Suchi

The humor blended with heartbreak in Srikant and Suchi’s couples’ therapy scene makes it a favorite among fans. The tension and tenderness in Srikant and Suchi’s relationship are evident in Srikant’s reluctance and awkward answers when asked to name five good things about his wife. Bajpayee’s delivery was relatable in the sense that it was comedic yet profoundly realistic.

4/6

Sleek One-Take Jailbreak

One of the show’s finest technical achievements can be seen through this thrilling one-shot sequence, depicting Srikant and his crew’s escape from a perilous jail situation. Its brilliance lies in the ability to maintain the audience’s attention and measure the escape’s frantic energy. The chaos of the situation is counterbalanced by the calm, precise performance of the center actor, showing once again how realism in action is one of the actor’s strongest capabilities.

5/6

Interrogation with Raji

Raji and Srikant’s confrontation is one of the most richly emotional moments in the series. Srikant’s interrogation involves a fake personal loss in the mix to use as emotional leverage, and from there the interrogation takes an unexpected direction. The sense of tragic loss, guilt, and fervor, and in contrast, the conviction in the unfolding scenario along with the rest of the story’s elements, profoundly encompasses a hero and his evil opponent. The actor’s ability to contain his emotion made this one of the most remarkable scenes in the actor’s life.

6/6

Handling Milind’s Death

One of the show’s most sorrowful moments is the scene after Srikant’s colleague Milind died. Srikant helps to spare grief in any visible form. It is a powerful statement of how his job takes priority over his personal feelings. The character’s silence and stoic face display his pain in the silence. Bajpayee’s use of silence is vocal, showing that there is strength in the silence. It provides powerful sorrow to the scene, showing the audience the deep, personal, and painful toll that his character takes.
