‘Dancing With the Stars’ alum Charlotte Jorgensen reveals she survived a plane crash: ‘The days after have been tough’

‘Dancing With the Stars Season 1’ alum Charlotte Jorgensen has revealed that she’s a survivor of the tragic Air Canada Plane crash that happened on March 22. Her survival tale came a week after the passenger jet crashed into a firetruck at New York's LaGuardia Airport, per National Transportation Safety Board, US. Through a post on Instagram, Jorgensen shared that she boarded the flight after a "fabulous weekend in Montreal." After noting that most people have probably heard of the incident by now, she said that she owes her life to Forest and Gunther, "two brave souls." "They made the ultimate sacrifice so that we all could live…. I am indebted to them, and my thoughts are with their families," she wrote. While Jorgensen said that on the night of the crash, she "felt nothing as adrenaline was rushing through my body," things changed as the days went by. "The days after have been tough - physically, mentally, and emotionally," she said. Jorgensen said she is at home amid loved ones, still "will be taking time to heal." Thanking fans for the support, she wrote, “I am grateful for all the love I have received and I send you all an extra warm hug" she said. The professional dancer ended her post by thanking her ‘Dancing with the Stars’ "family for their "care and concern."Meanwhile, the investigations are ongoing in the crash case.
