Bikes collide head-on near Hero Honda Chowk on the Gurgaon-Delhi Expressway, man dies

Gurgaon: A 28-year-old man died on Monday, four days after his motorcycle was hit by another motorcycle near Hero Honda Chowk on the Gurgaon-Delhi Expressway (NH 8) service road.Rahul Sharma was on his way to work around 9:40am on March 26 when the accident occurred. Police said he was travelling from his rented accommodation in Kadipur village towards Naharpur Rupa when another motorcycle, allegedly being driven rashly and negligently, collided head-on with his bike. The accused rider fled the scene after the collision.He sustained serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital by his friend, Deepak Chauhan, before being shifted to Safdarjung Hospital for further treatment. He died during treatment on Monday.

Based on a complaint filed by his brother, Sachin, police registered a case under sections 281 (rash driving) and 106 (causing death by negligence) of BNS at Sadar police station.Police said efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the accused rider.
