Alan Ritchson starrer 'Reacher' renewed for Season 5 ahead of Season 4 premiere

'Reacher' the high-octane action series starring Alan Ritchson, has officially been renewed for a fifth season by Amazon MGM Studios. The official announcement comes even before the makers could announce a release date for the show’s Season 4 premiere.

According to a report on Variety, the action thriller has become one of the most successful series on Prime Video. According to the streamer, Season 3 attracted 54.6 million viewers globally within its first 19 days of release, making it the platform’s most-watched season since 'Fallout Season 1'. The update also comes a few days after the premiere of the Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden-led 'Citadel' Season 2, which has not yet been renewed for a new season.

Peter Friedlander praised the series’s continued success in a statement announcing the renewal. “The series’ ability to combine high-octane action with compelling character storytelling continues to resonate with tens of millions of viewers around the world,” Friedlander said. “We’re excited to move forward with a fifth season ahead of Season Four’s debut and to build on this incredible momentum.”

Season 4 of 'Reacher' is said to adapt the 13th novel in Lee Child’s bestselling Jack Reacher book series titled Gone Tomorrow. According to the official logline, “When a chance encounter with a distraught stranger on a subway goes horribly wrong, Jack Reacher is drawn into a complex and deadly game that pits him against ruthless foes from the highest echelons of power.”

The upcoming season will also introduce several new cast members, including Chris Marquette, Sydelle Noel, Agnez Mo, Anggun, Kevin Weisman, Marc Blucas, Kevin Corrigan and Kathleen Robertson.




Since debuting in 2022, 'Reacher' has emerged as one of the OTT platform's flagship action franchises, earning strong audience numbers and critical praise. Although there is no new update on the series' release date, reports indicate that the team will release the series later this year.
