In 1997, a pair of white lions were brought to Maitri Bagh from the Nandan Kanan Zoo in Odisha. Since then his clan has kept on increasing. Including the little cubs, there are now a total of 9 white lions in the zoo. The same 12 lions have been sent from here to other zoos in the country. White lions are very sensitive. The young cubs will be released into the cage after four months. Currently dependent on mother's milk only. When he starts eating small pieces of meat, he will be released into the cage.
