Manipur violence: Congress steps up pressure on Centre, says PM must speak out

Manipur CM N Biren Singh met home minister Amit Shah to discuss ways to establish permanent peace in Manipur. The state has been in the grip of Kuki-Meitei violence for over 2 months now. The death toll in the violence has reached 131, although no fresh deaths have been recorded since June 13, the government says.
