Fathali also commended New Delhi’s “balanced” and “neutral” approach, while calling on countries to stand against violations of international law and attacks on civilians. Addressing concerns over the Strait of Hormuz, he noted that it lies within the territorial waters of Iran and Oman, adding that Tehran has taken steps to ensure safe passage for vessels from friendly nations, including India, despite regional tensions and rising insurance costs affecting shipping.
