Doping violation: BCCI suspends Prithvi Shaw

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has suspended batsman Prithvi Shaw for doping violation. He has been banned for eight months for inadvertently taking a prohibited substance. He will remain suspended till November 15th, 2019. Shaw was not picked in India's Test squad for the upcoming West Indies series due to injury concerns. The 19-year-old Shaw, who has played two Test matches against the West Indies in 2018, was reportedly undergoing rehabilitation for a hip injury. He tested positive for terbutaline during the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament.
