In past one month alone, PM Narendra Modi has been thrice to UP - Baghpat, Maghar and now Noida. He is scheduled to visit Varanasi, Mirzapur, Azamgarh, Lucknow and Shahjahanpur soon. While the 2019 Lok Sabha polls are almost a year away, Modi is taking no chances. BJP had won 71 of the state's 80 Lok Sabha seats in 2014. But with new-found friendship between SP and BSP, it may have a tough fight on its hands. Visits like these are designed to remind the voters that development or vikas will be Modi’s key election issue in 2019.
