Captain Tania Shergill, who led a contingent of Corps of Signals at the Republic Day parade, spoke to Times of India about how she got inspired to join the armed forces. Tania is a fourth-generation army officer, as her father, grandfather and great-grandfather were all part of the army. With officers like Tania leading from the front, many more women will also be inspired to join the armed forces.
