Syria: Shelling continues in Damascus and Homs

Heavy shelling has continued in the Syrian cities of Damascus and Homs. The Red Cross has appealed for a halt to the fighting in the city of Homs, where government forces are trying to retake rebel held areas, so that humanitarian aid can be provided to trapped residents.
