Signs of consumer demand revival as areas reopen for business

Signs of a revival in consumer demand are emerging as India gradually opens up for business. A survey shows there is a slow improvement in overall spending across categories. The survey carried out by Bain & Company and Price has found that staples, household hygiene, food ordering-in, toys and even beauty segments are seeing demand revival. The survey also finds online online channels are starting to become more significant, in particular for essential commodities.
