A disturbing incident occurred on an IndiGo Mumbai-Kolkata flight when a passenger slapped a co-traveller who was visibly distressed during a panic attack. The victim began sobbing and walking the aisle requesting to deboard as the aircraft taxied, when another flyer struck him—an act caught on video and widely shared online. The assaulter was immediately identified as unruly and handed over to security upon landing. IndiGo condemned the behavior and confirmed it would initiate action under unruly flyer rules, which may include a temporary no-fly ban.
