‘Operation Kaveri’: 362 Indian evacuees from Jeddah reaches Bengaluru

Another batch of 362 Indian evacuees from Sudan reached Bengaluru from Jeddah on April 28. They left Sudan in the presence of Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan. According to the MoS, the ninth batch of 135 Indian nationals was evacuated from Port Sudan to Jeddah by IAF C 130 J. EAM S Jaishankar informed that a batch of 362 Indians returned to India, as another ‘Operation Kaveri’ flight down in Bengaluru. India launched ‘Operation Kaveri’ this week to bring nationals to safety from war-torn Sudan. “...I am happy and sad at the same time because I left all my friends. They are going to different countries now,” a girl who returned from Sudan, with her family said.
