Odisha: Anganwadi workers stage protest in Bhubaneswar raising various demands

Closing down about 60,000 anganwadi centres across Odisha, Anganwadi workers are on strike on September 22 demanding the status of government employees and a hike in their remuneration. Members of All Odisha Anganwadi Ladies Workers Association (AOALWA) from different parts of the state staged a demonstration in Bhubaneswar and launched a dharna near the state Assembly building during the ongoing session of the Assembly.The protest was held under the banner of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS).
