No loss of human life, fire fighting process underway at container: Indian Coast Guard

The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) rushed its vessels to douse the fire that broke out on container vessel MV X-Press Pearl off Colombo coast in Sri Lanka. Speaking on it, IG of Indian Coast Guard, KR Suresh said, “When fire and explosion took place, Sri Lankan naval vessel Sindurala and others salvage vessels quickly evacuated all the 25 people on board. There has been no loss of human life. The fire fighting process is on. There is no pollution from oil at this moment.”
