Union Minister Nitin Gadkari received extortion threat calls on March 22. Nagpur Police registered a case under the relevant sections of IPC, informed Nagpur Police Commissioner, Amitesh Kumar. He also confirmed that call was made from inside the jail in Belgaum. “In a matter related to phone calls to Nitin Gadkari's office, we registered offence under sections of threatening, extortion. A team was sent to Belgaum. We are in contact with officials there. We got info that call was made from inside the jail,” said Amitesh Kumar, Nagpur Police Commissioner on March 22.
