Patra credited the BJP government and Prime Minister Modi for restoring recognition to national icons previously overlooked. He criticised Congress and Jawaharlal Nehru, claiming Nehru feared the song would “irritate Muslims.” BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi said the debate will inspire the youth and reinforce national unity, cultural resurgence, and social freedom. The discussion is seen as a moment to rise above political divides while honouring the legacy of India’s struggle for independence.
