MP farmer digs up 14.98 carat diamond, turns millionaire overnight

A farmer from Madhya Pradesh's Panna, who had leased a 100 square feet land, found a 14.98 carat diamond that was auctioned for Rs 60 lakh. From marginal farmer, he has almost overnight turned into a millionaire. many times over. Lakhan Yadav is one of those evicted from Panna National Park when villages were removed. He owns 2 hectares bought with the compensation money, two buffaloes, and now a motorcycle that he bought with the first Rs 1 lakh he had got upon depositing the diamond with the district administration.
