More than 1 crore jewellery pieces hallmarked since HUID inception: BIS DG

Bureau of Indian Standards, DG, Pramod Kumar Tiwari reacted on mandatory Hallmarking Unique ID (HUID) on every gold item to ensure the purity. Pramod Kumar Tiwari said, “Since the inception of Hallmarking Unique ID (HUID) system, people related to the jewellery business have warmly accepted it. In the last 50 days, more than one crore of jewellery pieces have been already hallmarked.”
