Markets open in green, Sensex crosses 40,000 mark on Budget day

The equity markets opened in green on the Budget day. In anticipation of a ‘good’ budget from Finance minister, BSE Sensex once again crossed the 40,000 mark. The Modi government presented interim budget on February 1 and the Union Budget 2019 is expected to be in similar line. The Economic Survey 2019 was tabled by Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Parliament on July 4.
