Kolkata: Speeding car runs over pedestrians, 3 killed

Putting a serious question mark on the much publicized Safe Life Save Drive campaign, the heart of the city witnessed one of the worst accidents this year when a rampaging Sedan jumped a red light and hit two motorbikes before climbing on to the footpath that had a crowd of around 30 pedestrians - mostly children - waiting to cross the road. The incident was reported from the ever busy Delvedere Road-AJC Bose Road crossing, barely a few hundred metres from the PTS at one side and the zoo on the other.
