Karnataka man hangs himself at lodge, leaves cheque for last rites

A 69-year-old retired government employee who was reportedly suffering from several ailments hanged himself at a lodge in Srirangapatna on Wednesday. He left a cheque for Rs 40,000 for his last rites and instructions on how they should be performed and by who.
