BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi on Monday slammed Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge over comments suggesting intelligence differences between regions of India. Trivedi accused Kharge and the Congress party of deliberately attempting to divide the country, citing past statements by party leaders on the North-South divide and taxation issues. He urged Kharge to clarify his stance on leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Patel, Jawaharlal Nehru, and Indira Gandhi. Trivedi also lauded the people of Kerala for their awareness and education, highlighting BJP’s municipal election victory in Thiruvananthapuram and the state’s early recognition of love jihad. He claimed Congress has historically failed to acknowledge South India’s contributions.
