Income Tax dept surveys BBC offices in Mumbai and Delhi

The Income Tax Department on Tuesday conducted survey action on premises linked to the United Kingdom's national broadcaster BBC's offices in New Delhi and Mumbai. The survey action has been undertaken to carry out verification of certain documents, the department said. This comes amid a raging controversy over a BBC documentary on the 2002 Gujarat riots. The MEA had criticized the documentary as a propaganda and lacking objectivity.
