Gujarat high court on Friday dismissed Patidar leader Hardik Patel's plea to stay his conviction in connection with a rioting case. The Patidar leader had approached the high court seeking a stay on his conviction. In his plea, he had informed the court that he had chances to win the polls but the conviction hampered his entry in electoral politics. The Gujarat government had opposed his plea, saying that he has a habit to instigate violence and always found on the wrong side of the law.
