Assam: Northeast Half Marathon organised in Guwahati

First ever Northeast Half Marathon organized by the Northeast Frontier Railway for empowering sports activities in the Northeast is being held on February 05 in Guwahati.Several Marathon runners from across the country have participated in the Marathon. Union Minister of State of Sports Nisith Pramanik along with Northeast Frontier Railway General Manager Anshul Gupta were present on the occasion. “For the first time, North East Frontier Railway organised such a grand half marathon. I thank the PM for his nationwide ‘Fit India Movement’. Such half-marathons should be organised in every state. We had around 7000 participants from across the country,” said MoS Sports Nisith Pramanik.
